Morawewa Village massacre
On 2nd March 1988, a group of LTTE terrorists armed with small arms and sharp weapons attacked Morawewa ancient Sinhalese Village in Trincomalee and butchered 24 civilians including women and children. Bodies of 9 victims were not found. Three other seriously injured victims were found later.
