Sittaru Village massacre
On 5th March 1988, a gang of LTTE terrorists wielding swords, machetes and riffles raided Sittaru Sinhalese Village in Kantalai at night. The terrorists carried out house-to- house massacre butchering 24 innocent civilians including women and children
